Abstract  Abstract

This utility model claims a wireless transmitting/receiving unit (WTRU) comprising a receiver configured to receive an indication for releasing the downlink persistent resources through a physical downlink control channel and a transmitter configured to transmit an acknowledgement for indicating that the indication has already been received. The WTRU receives the indication for releasing the downlink (DL) persistent resources from an evolution node B (eNB) through the physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The WTRU transmits the acknowledgement (ACK) for indicating that the indication has already been received. The eNB can notify the indication with PDCCH or medium access control (MAC) CE through a signal. At least one bit can be added to the content of the PDCCH for notifying that the DCCH is used for allocating the DL persistent resources or dynamic resources through the signal. The DL persistent resources are released in succession and an indication that the DL persistent resources have already been released is transmitted.
