Abstract  Abstract

A base station (100) suitable for radiocommunications with a DS-CDMA mobile station (10), said mobile station comprises: a spreading code generating unit (10-3) configured to generate a spreading code based on a widening factor; a chip repeat unit (10-7) configured to repeat a sequence of chips after the spread spectrum for a series of times; and ~ a phase sequence generation unit (10-8) configured to generate at least a single phase for the mobile station, the phase being multiplied by the output of repeated chip sequences by the chip repeat unit; said base station being characterized by: a control information determination unit configured to determine the control information that includes a spreading factor, the number of chip repetitions, and a single phase for the mobile station based on whether the traffic it is real-time traffic or non-real-time traffic; and to transmit the spreading factor, the number of chip repetitions, and the single phase of the mobile station that are determined, to the mobile station.
