Abstract  Abstract

A method for transmitting a broadcast signal, the method comprising: encoding (S601) physical layer pipe data, PLP, to carry a service flow for its early coding correction; correlate PLP data encoded with data symbols according to a symbol mapping procedure; forming (S605) a signal frame that includes the modular data symbols (S607) the signal frame by an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing scheme; and inserting a first pilot symbol, P1, into an initial part of the modulated signal frame, in which the modulated signal frame includes a second pilot symbol, P2, with layer 1 signaling data, L1, to signal the symbols of data, and in which the signaling data of L1 includes a field indicating an index of a current radio frequency channel within the signal frame, characterized in that the signaling data of L1 includes a configurable part that is changed in a unit of a superframe and a dynamic part that is changed in a unit of the signal frame, and the configurable part includes information for an RF channel that includes the PLP data in the first, 1st, frame of the superframe, and the dynamic part includes information for an identifier indicating an initial RF channel of the signal frame, in which the symbol P1 has a structure that includes first, second and third parts, in which the second pair This is an effective part of the symbol P1, the first part has an outdated frequency version of a first part of the second part and the third part has an outdated frequency version of a second part of the second part.
