Abstract  Abstract

A method for receiving a broadcast signal, the method comprising: receiving (S611) a broadcast signal that includes a signal frame and a first pilot symbol, P1, in an initial part of the signal frame, in which the frame of signal includes a second pilot symbol, P2, layer 1 signaling data, L1, for signaling data data symbols of the layer of physical, PLP, in the signal frame, in which the signaling data of L1 includes a field indicating the index of a current radio frequency channel within the signal frame; decode (S617) the data symbols and the PLP bits to carry a service flow according to a symbol mapping procedure; and decode (S617) the PLP bits for the anticipated error correction, FEC, characterized in that the signaling data of L1 includes a configurable part that is changed in a unit of a superframe, and a dynamic part that is changed in a unit of the signal frame, and the configurable part includes information for an RF channel that includes the PLP data in the first, 1st, superframe frame, and the dynamic part includes information for an identifier indicating an initial RF channel of the frame of signal, in which the symbol P1 has a structure that includes first, second and third parts, where the second part is an effective part of the symbol P1, the first part carries a shifted version in front of a first part of the second part and the third part has a displaced version facing a second part of the second part.
