Abstract  Abstract

A method in a user equipment for handling a scheduling request trigger is provided. The user equipment comprises a buffer. After receiving (501) data arriving into the buffer to be transmitted to a base station, the user equipment generates (503) a scheduling request trigger. The scheduling request trigger is pending until it is cancelled, and is triggered directly or indirectly by the arrived data. The user equipment cancels the pending scheduling request when a Medium Access Control Packet Data Unit, MAC PDU, is assembled for transmission and including a buffer status report, the buffer status report accounting for the data that triggered the scheduling request.
