Abstract  Abstract

A method useful in a subscriber installation for processing a scheduling request trigger. The subscriber installation comprises a buffer memory. After receiving (501) data to be transmitted to a base station in a buffer, the subscriber installation generates (503) a scheduling request trigger. The scheduling request trigger is pending until it is deleted, and is triggered directly or indirectly by the received data. The subscriber installation removes (504) the outstanding scheduling request trigger when the data that triggered the production of said trigger is taken into account in a buffer status report to be included in a data transmission programmed to transmitting to the base station, or when the data that triggered the production of the scheduling request is included in a scheduled data transmission to be transmitted to the base station, based on the data event that occurs first .
