Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in user equipment for handling a scheduling request trigger.

SOLUTION: The user equipment comprises a buffer and receives 501 in the buffer data to be transmitted to a base station. When a next scheduling request opportunity appears the user equipment sends 506 a scheduling request to the base station only if the buffer contains data which has not yet been reported in a buffer status report to report buffer size to the base station and which is not included in an uplink data transmission scheduled at that point of time.
