Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration method for a telecommunication system including at least one transmitting side entity and one receiving side entity between which the same link transmits a certain number of transport channels different in service quality.

SOLUTION: The transmission-side entity matches the speed between coded transport channels having different individual service qualities wherein the different coded transport channels are multiplexed. The matched speed specific to each transport channel is determined on the basis of at least one first parameter (RM i) expressing the expected Eb/I ratio and a second parameter (Ndata) expressing the ability of a physical channel wherein Eb/I is the ratio of the average energy of each coding bit (Eb) to the average energy of interference (I). This is an application to a mobile telephony network.
