Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problem that the rearrangement of normal transmission cannot be achieved since the acquisition of perfect set of normal transmission is not necessarily attained within any one node B in soft handover macro diversity operation.

SOLUTION: The method and device for processing data blocks during soft handover are a wireless communication system 100 which includes at least two enhanced uplink soft handover nodes B110(110A-110N) and a wireless network controller (RNC) 105. Respective nodes B decode received data block to transfer the decoded data block to the RNC. When at least one copy of normally decoded data block is received the RNC uses rearrangement function entity and processes the copy of the normally decoded data block in order to support right order sending out to a higher order protocol layer. When two or more copies of normally decoded data blocks are received the useless copy of normally decoded data block is discarded.
