Abstract  Abstract

A coding concept that uses spectral domain noise shaping on a linear prediction basis uses spectral decomposition of the audio input signal into a spectrogram consisting of a series of spectra for both linear prediction coefficient computation and spectral domain shaping based on linear prediction coefficients Thus, for example, in terms of speed / distortion, complexity is reduced with equivalent coding efficiency. Coding efficiency can be maintained even when duplicate transforms are used for spectral decomposition that cause aliasing and require temporal aliasing cancellation such as duplicate transforms that sample strictly such as MDCT.
