Abstract  Abstract

In a wireless communication system, when a CAZAC sequence is transmitted as a pilot signal sequence and code division multiplexing is used for at least one of the user multiplexing schemes, a frequency band of bandwidths W1 and W2 is used for a system band, which is a frequency band usable in the system. Each pilot signal of the frequency blocks B1 and B2 is single carrier by dividing it into B1 and B2 and using a pilot signal sequence having sequence lengths L1 and L2 corresponding to the frequency blocks B1 and B2, respectively. The generated pilot signal is multicarrier-transmitted using any number of frequency blocks of the plurality of frequency blocks as a pilot signal corresponding to each user.
