Abstract  Abstract

When a CAZAC sequence is transmitted as a pilot signal sequence and a code division multiplexing is used as at least one of user multiplexing methods in a wireless communication system, a system band, which is a frequency band available for the system, is divided into frequency blocks (B1,B2) of predetermined bandwidths (W1,W2), and pilot signal sequences having sequence lengths (L1,L2) associated with the respective frequency blocks (B1,B2) are used to generate pilot signals of the respective frequency blocks (B1,B2) by use of a single carrier. Any number of ones of the plurality of frequency blocks are used to multicarrier transmit the generated pilot signals as pilot signals associated with the respective users. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
