Abstract  Abstract

The time division duplex (TDD) cellular communication system is configured to support both uplink and downlink communications allocated for unicast time division duplex (TDD) communication using a single cell identifier reuse pattern. The TDD cellular communication system includes a plurality of wireless serving communication units operatively coupled to management logic. In the TDD cellular communication system, unicast communication using a single cell identifier reuse pattern is supported in the first portion of the time domain physical resource, and broadcast communication using the common cell identifier 215 reuse pattern for broadcast communication is timed. And management logic configured to partition the time domain physical resource to be supported in the second portion of the domain physical resource.
