Abstract  Abstract

A user equipment for descrambling an HS-SCCH(High Speed-Shared Control CHannel) is provided to be applicable for a code division multiple access communication system as well as for an HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) of a 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) W-CDMA(Wireless-Code Division Multiple Access). A convolution encoder processes a UE(User Equipment) ID by performing 1/2 rate convolution encoding on the UE ID in order to generate a code used by a base station to scramble an HS-SCCH. The base station transmits a radio signal which provides payload data transmitted through an HS-PDSCH(High Speed-Physical Downlink Shared Channel) related to the HS-SCCH to the UE.
