Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for operating a plurality of timing advance groups in a wireless communication system are provided to dynamically select an uplink MCS table index in consideration of the number of uses and the amount of uplink resource use. CONSTITUTION: A controller(1109) groups a plurality of carrier waves into TAG(Timing Advance Group) according to a predetermined standard. The controller allocates a TAG index to each TAG. The controller transmits the TAG index information to a terminal. The controller generates a TAC(Timing Advance Command). The controller transmits the TAG to the terminal in random access. (Reference numerals) (1101) Transceiver; (1103) Multiplexing and reverse multiplexing unit; (1105) Upper layer unit; (1107) Control message processor; (1109) Controller; (1111) Carrier wave direct processor
