Abstract  Abstract

1. A method for demodulating a received signal, comprising the steps of:! performing complex multiplication of the received signal by a complex pseudo-noise code to obtain a complex pseudo-noise compressed signal, and! demultiplexing complex control data from a complex pseudo noise compressed signal. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the complex pseudo-noise code comprises a common-mode pseudo-noise code component and a quadrature-phase pseudo-noise code component. ! 3. The method of claim 2, wherein the common-mode pseudo-noise code component and the quadrature-phase pseudo-noise code component are multiplied by a long code. ! 4. The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of filtering the complex control data to obtain filtered complex control data. ! 5. The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of demodulating the first channel from the complex pseudo-noise compressed signal in accordance with the complex control data and the first demodulating code. ! 6. The method according to claim 5, wherein said step of demodulating the first channel from the complex pseudo noise compressed signal comprises:! multiplying the complex pseudo-noise compressed signal by the first demodulating code to obtain complex data of the first channel,! phase rotation and scaling of complex data of the first channel in accordance with complex control data to obtain a soft solution to the data of the first channel. ! 7. The method according to claim 6, further comprising the step of summing the complex data of the first channel in accordance with the length of the first demodulating code. ! 8. The method according to claim 6, in which said phase rotation step fa
