FIELD: broadband mobile communication system possible use for conducting service transfer in a broadband wireless communication system which uses multiplexing method with orthogonal frequency division of channels. ^ SUBSTANCE: method allows the mobile station which is in the area of a serviced cell to perform service transfer procedure in broadband mobile communications system which includes mobile station servicing base station which ensures the servicing of mobile station and one or more target base stations which contain at least one area of target cell which overlaps with the area of serviced cell occupied by servicing base station. The method includes transmitting service transfer request from mobile station to servicing base station when a necessity to perform a service transfer is detected; and service transfer indication message is transmitted to servicing base station which contains service transfer cancellation information when mobile station decides to cancel service transfer while the servicing base station performs transfer of mobile station service to one or more target base stations. ^ EFFECT: ensured forced transfer of service. ^ 10 cl 18 tbl 14 dwg
