<B> METHOD AND APPARATUS TO ASSIGN DIFFUSION CODE FOR REVERSE COMMON CHANNEL MESSAGE IN CDMA COMMUNICATION SYSTEM <D> a common channel message communication device and method in a CDMA communication system is provided. At a base station of the common channel message communication device, a control message generator generates a control message including information representative of a broadcast code to broadcast a reverse common channel message, and a common channel transmitter from sending transmits the control message on a common sending channel. At a mobile station, a control message analyzer analyzes the representative information of an assigned broadcast code included in the control message received on the common sending channel, a broadcast code generator generates a broadcast code based on the code information broadcast, and a channel transmitter broadcasts the reverse common channel message through the broadcast code and transmits the broadcast reverse common channel message.
