Abstract  Abstract

A spread-spectrum signal receiver comprises a Walsh sequence generator for generating a Walsh sequence assigned to the receiver and a correlator is coupled to the Walsh sequence generator. The correlator is configured to produce a despread signal for the receiver by correlating the generated Walsh sequence and a received spread-spectrum signal. A PN sequence generator may also be provided for generating a PN sequence. The correlator can be coupled to the PN sequence generator and configured to produce the despread signal by correlating the generated PN sequence and the received spread-spectrum signal.
