The invention claims a cell selection method and a mobile station. The cell selection method is used for the mobile station to select a waiting cell from a first cell using a first carrier frequency and a second cell using a second carrier frequency different from the first carrier frequency wherein the selection method comprises the following step: in case that the mobile station sets the first cell as the waiting cell as the waiting cell at first the mobile station switches the waiting cell into the second cell from the first cell when the priority of the second cell is the same as that of the first cell and the sum of wireless quality and a predetermined offset in the second cell is greater than the sum of the wireless quality and a predetermined parameter in the first cell.
