The invention claims a cell selection method and mobile station wherein the cell selection method is used for a mobile station to select the waiting cell from the first cell using the first carrier wave frequency and a second cell using the second carrier wave frequency different from the first carrier wave frequency wherein the cell selection method comprises the steps of: under the condition that the mobile station sets the first cell into the waiting cell the priority of the second cell is lower than that of the first cell and the wireless quality of the second cell satisfies the specified wireless quality and the wireless quality of the first cell cannot satisfy the specified wireless quality changing the waiting cell into the second cell from the first cell.
