Abstract  Abstract

This invention claims a method and wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for utilizing channel control information associated with enhanced uplink (EU) transmission. The method comprises receiving information via RRC signalling receiving at least EU transmission of DL control information based at least on received in the at least one slot of the first forty bit specific coding sequence or the second forty bit specific coding sequence to determine whether the DL control information is used by the WTRU. based on information received via RRC signaling by identification in the at least one time slot of the first forty bit specific coding sequence to determine the DL control information is the first type or by identification in the at least one slot of the second forty bit specific coding sequence to determine the DL control information is the second type; the DL control information is transmitted using DL control information of the first type or the second type of DL control information for at least the EU WTRU.
