Abstract  Abstract

method for providing resource for transmitting the control channel in a mobile communication system using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) of. the method comprises the following steps: mapping the symbols of the control signal to a resource element (RE) groups RE group comprises a plurality of RE and transmission symbols mapped on a downlink control channel wherein the RE group has time domain sum frequency domain wherein in the RE group number index of the plurality of REs depends on an OFDM symbol and wherein in the mapping period the frequency index in the frequency domain from the given value is increased to the next value and the reset before the initial time index in the time domain time index is increased from an initial value while maintaining the given value of the frequency index to a predetermined value.
