Abstract  Abstract

A tone analysis device for producing an optimal set of tone encryption code parameters in response to a broadband signal, comprising: a) at least two signal paths associated with respective sets of parameters of the encryption code of tone, wherein: i) each signal path comprises a tone prediction error calculation device (307, 308) for calculating a tone prediction error of a tone code vector from a device (301) of tone coding code search, and ii) at least one of said two paths comprises a filter (305) to filter the tone code vector before providing said tone code vector to the prediction error calculation device of tone of said path; and b) a selector (309) to compare the calculated tone prediction errors in said at least two signal paths, to choose the signal path that has the lowest calculated tone prediction error and, to select the set of parameters of Tone encryption code associated with the chosen signal path.
