A method for communicating information related to the planning of uplink data transmissions, where a mobile terminal transmits data on the uplink to a plurality of base stations during the soft transfer of the mobile terminal in a mobile communications system, and where at least one base station of said plurality of base stations plans uplink data transmissions of the mobile terminal in soft transfer, the method including the steps of: determining at least one planning base station of said plurality of base stations indicative planning information of a maximum amount of uplink resources allocated to the mobile terminal, informing at least one other base station of said plurality of base stations about the maximum amount allocated of uplink resources and programming for the at least one other base station at least one other terminal mobile in communication with a respective base station using the maximum indicated amount of uplink resources allocated to said mobile terminal in soft transfer.
