Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for communicating information related to scheduling of uplink data transmission, wherein the mobile terminal transmits data to a plurality of base stations via the uplink during soft handover of the mobile terminal in a mobile communication system. In addition, at least one of the plurality of base stations schedules uplink data transmission of the mobile terminal in soft handover. Another embodiment of the present invention provides a communication system, a radio resource controller, a base station, and a mobile terminal capable of performing other tasks of the method. To provide a method for reducing the impact on uplink communication during soft handover of RoT, all base stations communicating with the mobile terminal during soft handover are informed about the maximum amount of resources allocated to the mobile terminal for uplink communication. It is proposed to allow the base station to schedule other terminals in consideration of this information.
