Abstract  Abstract

A method for communicating information regarding uplink data transmission planning, where a mobile terminal uses a plurality of HARQ processes to transmit uplink data via an enhanced dedicated uplink channel from a UMTS system to a plurality of stations base during the soft transfer of the mobile terminal in a mobile communications system, and where at least one base station of said plurality of base stations plans uplink data transmissions of the mobile terminal in soft transfer, the method including the steps of: determining in the at least one planning base station of said plurality of base stations planning information for the mobile terminal indicative of the maximum allocated amount of uplink resources applicable to the individual HARQ processes used for uplink data transmission, transmit information to at least s another base station of said plurality of base stations to inform the at least one other base station about the applicability of the maximum allocated amount of uplink resources for uplink data transmissions in the individual HARQ processes and to plan for the at least another base station at least one other mobile terminal in communication with a respective base station based on the information received from the planning base station.
