Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method and apparatus for determining time in satellite-positioning system.

SOLUTION: In one embodiment base time is used to determine other navigational information. Such a navigational information would include for instance local/location of satellite-positioning system (SPS) receiver. In one embodiment relative velocity between SPS receiver and 1 set of one or more satellites is used to determine the offset between the time as shown in the SPS receiver and the base time. In other embodiment error statistics is used to determine the base time. In accordance with the other embodiments of the present invention two records respectively representing at least locations of each satellite are compared and the time is decided. In one exercise SPS receiver is mobile type which operates so as to determine the time and/or other navigational information associated with the base station by using any one or combination of these methods.
