Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide data flow control improved for a communication system.

SOLUTION: A first device generates a control message including information identifying a framing protocol type of one or more high-speed downlink channels supported by the first device and transfers the control message to a second device. In response to the reception of the control message the second device selects the framing protocol type of the high-speed downlink channels and generates a response message. The response message includes information identifying the selected framing protocol type of the high-speed downlink channels. The second device transfers the response message to the first device and via the first device transfers a data frame of the high-speed downlink channels of the selected framing protocol type.
