Abstract
1. The method, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: generating a control message in the first device (124), the control message including information identifying one or more types of high-speed downlink channel frame forming protocols supported by the first device (124); transmitting the control message to the second device (122); select in the second device (122) the type of the high-speed downlink channel frame forming protocol in response to receiving the control message; generate in watts by the device (122), a response message, the response message including information identifying a selected type of high-speed downlink channel frame forming protocol; transmitting a response message to the first device (124); transmitting, through the first device (124), a data frame of a high-speed downlink channel of a selected frame-forming protocol. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the information identifying one or more supported types of downlink high speed channel frame forming protocol is located in HS-DSCH frequency division duplex information about information elements of said control message. The method of claim 1, wherein the information identifying the selected type of downlink high speed channel frame forming protocol is located in the HS-DSCH frequency division duplex information response about the information elements of this response message.
