PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a technology for improved multicast content distribution technology.

SOLUTION: The apparatus of the present disclosure comprises a processor circuit. The processor circuit executes: a communication component configured to receive multicast transmission data including a description partition and a correspondence partition; a correspondence processing component configured to identify a multicast content stream bundle containing a plurality of multicast content streams on the basis of a correspondence partition each of the plurality of multicast content streams corresponding to one of the plurality of content versions; a selection component configured to select at least one of the plurality of multicast content streams for subsequent processing on the basis of the characteristics identified in the description partition; and an adaptation component configured to adaptively switch between a plurality of multicast content streams for receiving and subsequent processing on the basis of the characteristics identified in the description partition.
