Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to control power consumption in a subscriber unit of a TDMA radio telephone system.

SOLUTION: The subscriber unit 10 of the TDMA radio telephone system is reconstituted to realize a power consumption tesselation which stops a power supply to an unnecessary circuit component to a communication signal processing by a time slot. In order to minimize a necessary range of a circuit for distributing a power consumption control signal the circuit component of a control object is innovated without depending on an actual control of a power supply circuit by using technical skills such as clock frequency controls 26 30 and 70 and power supply stop commands 31 67 and 68. A frequency of a ringing tone generator is controlled by a programmable call frequency logic 20 and a high-frequency ringing tone control circuit 70 is on-off-controlled according to a call operation. An expansion header to provide a service to a plurality of subscriber loop circuits with a radio device for saving the power consumption per one subscriber line is provided.
