Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A channel switching method for supporting an MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service) is provided to enable a user to effectively use wireless resources even when moving between cells. CONSTITUTION: Channel switching is between a dedicated channel and a shared/common channel. MBMS reception scheduling is included for use when a wireless transmitting/receiving device receives MBMS data from plural transmission sources. The plural transmission sources transmit the MBMS data in differing orders. Band segmentation information is used, and out-of-band synchronization information is used.
