Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a D2D capable communication method and a transmission user equipment for transmitting data to a receiving user equipment via a direct link data channel and utilizes the service of the eNodeB to have the resources allocated for the data transmission. For this purpose, the UE transmits scheduling information using resources of a subframe dedicated for standard uplink communication via the eNodeB to the eNB, rather than using resources for subframes dedicated to D2D data transmission. The UE may transmit the identification information associated with the scheduling information together with the scheduling information in order to allow the eNB to distinguish whether the received scheduling request is for allocating resources via the direct link channel or via the eNB .
