Embodiments of the present disclosure comprises a system and method for switching the user equipment (UE) for non-guaranteed bit rate (non-GBR) bearer. In some embodiments an access node (AN) may include UE logic logic identifier of the UE with UE target AN logic of at least one non GBR bearer the target AN to the target AN logic identifier from the AN connection service of the UE and the switching source logic the switching source logic logic with the UE and target AN logic is coupled for providing switching request information to the target AN. the switch request information comprises at least one non-GBR bearers for realizing throughput value. other embodiments are described and/or claimed may be.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include systems and methods for handover of user equipment (UE) having non-guaranteed bit rate (non-GBR) bearers. In some embodiments an access node (AN) may include UE logic to identify a UE having at least one non-GBR bearer target AN logic to identify a target AN to take over service of the UE from the AN and handover source logic coupled with the UE logic and the target AN logic to provide handover request information to the target AN. The handover request information may include a value representative of realized throughput of the at least one non-GBR bearer. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
