Abstract  Abstract

A channel coding and multiplexing apparatus for a CDMA communication system, in which data frames having one or more transmission time intervals (TTI) are received in parallel through a plurality of transport channels, and becoming radio frames of multi-code physical channels, in which the apparatus comprises: various radio frame adapters (101 to 10N, 151 to 15N), in which each of the radio frame adapters are adapted to receive the radio frames, to determine several fill bits to be inserted in each of the data frames, and to insert the different fill bits determined in the data frames, where each of the radio frame adapters they comprise a radio frame segmenter (121 to 12N), 171 to 17N) adapted to receive the radio frames and to segment the radio frames, including the fill bits in the radio frames: a multiplexer (200, 600) adapted to multiplex the radio frames to form a serial data frame; and a physical channel segmenter (300, 700) adapted to segment the multiplexed serial data frame into the number of physical channels, and assigning the frames of the segmented physical channel into the corresponding physical channels.
