Abstract  Abstract

An apparatus for channel coding and multiplexing, for a CDMA communication system in which, data frames having one or more temporary transmission intervals (TTIs), are received in parallel via a plurality of transport channels, and converted into multi-code physical channel data frames, the apparatus comprising: a number of radio frame adapters (101 to 10N, 151 to 15N), the number of radio frame adapters being at least equal to the number of transport channels, each of the radio frame adapters being adapted to receive the radio frames, in order to determine a number of padding bits to be inserted in each of the radio frames, and to insert the predetermined number of padding bits in the radio frames, where each radio frame adapter comprises a radio frame segmentation device (121 to 12N, 171 to 17N) adapted to receive the data frames , and to segment the data frames into radio frames; a multiplexer (200, 600) adapted to multiplex the radio frames, in the serial data frame; and a physical channel segmentation device (300, 700), adapted to segment the serial data frame, by the number of physical channels, and deliver the segmented physical channel frames to corresponding physical channels, where the physical channel frames segmented for physical channel 1 are delivered as e1, j = dj, segmented physical channel frames for physical channel 2 are delivered as ace e2, j = d (j + P / M), and segmented physical channel frames for the physical channel M, they are delivered as eM, j = d (j + (M-1) p / M), and where the bits of the serial data frame delivered from the multiplexer are d1, d2, ..., dp, the number of physical channels is M, the size of the serial data frame delivered from the multiplexed cover is P, and j = 1, 2, ..., P / M.
