Abstract  Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have higher error correction capability without having a parameterized bit-to-symbol mapping device.

SOLUTION: An encoded data packet is retransmitted based upon an automatic retransmission request and afterwards put together with a data packet received before for the unit of a symbol or for the unit of a bit. The symbol of the retransmitted data packet is modulated by using a prescribed signal constellation and each symbol bit has average bit reliability defined by each of bit reliability with respect to all the symbols of the prescribed signal constellation. At such a time a bit sequence is corrected by converting a bit arrangement and/or by inverting a logic bit value before the modulation to average synthetic average bit reliability with respect to respective bits of all transmission.
