Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: information technologies. ^ SUBSTANCE: methods and device are described to implement connection between access terminal (AT) and remote device via access point (AP). For connection via over-the-air communication line between AP and AT for routing of packets to/from remote device a short address is used corresponding to remote device. To maintain connection between AP and remote device a longer address is used for instance full IP-address corresponding to remote device. AT performs transformation between long and short addresses while information for instance packets is sent between remote device and AT. A long address for instance may be IP-address corresponding to remote device used to route packets via tunnel of level 2 between remote device and AP. In some versions of realisation a remote device is a remote point of access. ^ EFFECT: saving resources of over-the-air communication line. ^ 70 cl 10 dwg
