Abstract
A method and apparatus for reconfiguring a media access control entity (MAC) in a wireless transmission / reception unit (WTRU). The method and apparatus include that the WTRU transmits a MAC reconfiguration request, that the WTRU receives a MAC reconfiguration order that includes new MAC parameter values and that the WTRU reconfigures a MAC amount based on the new MAC parameter values in MAC reconfiguration order.
