Abstract
A method and apparatus for reconfiguring a medium access control (MAC) entity of a wireless transmit / receive unit (WTRU) is disclosed. The method and apparatus includes a WTRU sending a MAC reconfiguration request, a WTRU receiving a MAC reconfiguration command that includes a new MAC parameter value, and a WTRU based on the new MAC parameter value of the MAC reconfiguration command.
