Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for reconfiguring a medium access control (MAC) entity in a wireless transmit receive unit.SOLUTION: The method includes: a wireless transmit receive unit WTRU 702 transmitting a MAC reconfiguration request message 706 to an eNB 704; the WTRU 702 receiving a responsive MAC reconfiguration command 708 including new MAC parameter values from the eNB 704; and the WTRU 702 reconfiguring a MAC entity on the basis of the new MAC parameter values in the received MAC reconfiguration command and transmitting a reconfiguration complete message 710 to the eNB 704.
