Abstract
A method and apparatus for reconfiguring a medium access control (MAC) entity in a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) is disclosed. The method and apparatus include the WTRU sending a MAC reconfiguration request, the WTRU receiving a MAC reconfiguration command including a new MAC parameter value, and the WTRU reconfiguring a MAC entity based on the new MAC parameter value in the MAC reconfiguration command. .
