Abstract
The invention claims a wireless sending/receiving unit and method thereof. The WTRU comprises: a component which is configured to use at least one of uplink common channel to transmit the component is further configured to obtain physical layer control signal the physical layer control signal indicating that the WTRU is not desired power level increase and the component is further configured to use the first partition and the second partition to access said at least one uplink public channel of the forward links and wherein the at least one uplink public channel of the forward links are partitioned by the first partition and the at least one uplink public channel of the forward links with transmission of the physical layer control signal associated with a physical layer control signal indicating that the WTRU is not desired power level and the second sub-area with the transmission of the physical layer control signal on said at least one uplink public channel of the forward links.
