Abstract  Abstract

PURPOSE: A power control apparatus of a point to multipoint (PtM) physical channel is provided to perform the adaptive power control for the PtM. CONSTITUTION: A base station (54) derives a physical layer control signal which indicates whether a wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) desires the increase of power level. The base station transmits and receives at least one up-link common channel by using a plurality of partition. At least one up-link common channel is divided to correlate the transmission through at least one up-link common channel, where the physical layer control signal indicating whether the WTRU desires the increase of power level, and one partition among the partitions.
