Abstract  Abstract

A technology for efficiently sending and receiving data in a wireless communication system is described herein. The technology can be used for time frequency resources of business data and signaling sent in a code division multiplexing (CDM) manner, and also can be used for time frequency resources sent in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) manner. The time frequency sources for the OFDM can be divided into multiple tiles. Each tile can be defined based on multiple OFDM signal digital schemes and has a non-rectangular shape. At least one tile can be distributed for each terminal. A pilot pattern can be selected for each terminal from multiple pilot patterns capable of supporting different delay spread and special scalability. Data and pilot can be exchanged betwewn the terminals through the time frequency source of at least one tile distributed to each terminal. OFDM signals can be processed according to the multiple OFDM signal digital schemes for each distributed tile.
