Abstract  Abstract

FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: several spatial MIMO characteristics are previously specified or matched. MIMO range and an identifier of a spatial characteristic determined in an access terminal that supports MIMO mode are transmitted along an I-branch (a cophased branch) and along a Q-branch (a quadrature branch) of the existing structure of lxEV-DO standard. In one of versions of invention realisation a single-bit range and a triple-bit spatial characteristic are transferred along an I-branch in the form of a 4-bit symbol instead of data transfer speed control channel (DRC). In the other version of invention realisation, along the I-branch, a 4-bit spatial characteristic is transferred, also instead of a DRC channel. The double-bit range is transmitted together with the 4-bit DRC channel along the Q-branch. The double-bit range and the DRC channel may be recognised, since their transfer is carried out using different orthogonal Walsh protections based on code words.
EFFECT: system of communication optimised for data transfer provides support for access terminals of order versions, the communication system also provides support of communication in a mode with multiple inputs and multiple outputs with access terminals, which are configured so that the mode with multiple inputs and multiple outputs is maintained.
