Abstract  Abstract

describes which is not for communicating method and device of long term evolution (LTE) is spectrum of the license. The first method includes: to the clear channel assessment (CCA) time synchronization across a plurality of base stations to determine in the next transmission interval for transmission without the availability of spectrum license. the second method comprises: a plurality of CCA slot across a plurality of evolved Node-B (eNB) to synchronize one of the CCA slot during performing a CCA to determine in the next transmission interval for transmission without the availability of spectrum license.

Methods and apparatuses are described in which an unlicensed spectrum is used for Long Term Evolution (LTE) communications. A first method includes synchronizing clear channel assessment (CCA) slots across a plurality of base stations to determine availability of an unlicensed spectrum for transmissions in a next transmission interval. A second method includes performing a CCA during one of a plurality of CCA slots synchronized across a plurality of evolved Node Bs (eNBs) to determine availability of unlicensed spectrum for transmissions in a next transmission interval.
