Abstract  Abstract

Method for providing an indication of the channel quality, CQ, in a separate time transmission, comprising: performing measurements to determine a channel quality, the measurements being performed by time slots; characterized by determining a modulation coding set by a user equipment, UE, based on the determined channel quality, determining a channel quality for a reference time slot and a plurality of differences of the reference time slot for the remaining time slots; and transmitting the indication of the reference CQ for said reference time slot and the plurality of differences of the UE, the indication of the CQ including the determined modulation coding set, in which the channel quality for the time slot reference is four bits and each of the plurality of transmitted differences of the channel quality for the reference time slot for the remaining time slots is two bits.
