Abstract  Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and system for obtaining channel quality (CQ) measurements for downlink resource allocation in a wireless digital communication system using code division multiple access (CDMA) technology, wherein the user equipment And continuously measures the received signal code power (RSCP) based on communication over the reference channel provided by the base station. In addition, the user equipment UE measures the time slot interference signal code power (ISCP) by continuously configuring or circulating the downlink channel quality (CQ) and reporting the downlink CQ. Some functions of the RSCP / ISCP ratio such as RSCP / ISCP per time slot, modulation parameters for all timeslots, or combined coding can be reported.
